Crime phishing has become threat Serious in era digital, targeting people's
personal data through fraudulent methods through electronic media. In
Indonesia, phishing crimes have increased significantly in recent years, along
with the increasing use of the internet and digital transactions. The National
Police Headquarters plays a crucial role in preventing and handling these
crimes to protect the public. This study aims to analyze the role of the National
Police Headquarters in preventing and handling phishing crimes , particularly
those targeting banking customers and digital platform users. The research
method used is normative-empirical by reviewing relevant laws and policies, as
well as conducting case studies on phishing cases handled by the Directorate of
Cyber Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim). Police. Studies

the fraud case under the guise of a lottery at Bank Mandiri, the case fraud
through the Kredivo platform , and cases A lottery scam at BNI. Research shows
that the National Police Headquarters has implemented various preventative
measures, such as outreach, education, cyber patrols, and case handling.

technique phishing . The conclusion of this study is that the National Police
Headquarters needs to increase human resource and technology capacity,
optimize prevention programs, strengthen cooperation with various parties,
and increase public participation in efforts to combat phishing crimes .
